HOOKER'S
PARTNERS
|
The
career of T.J. Hooker was a long one. Throughout his many
years on the force, he found himself teamed with a wide
variety of partners. Many of these partners crossed paths
with Hooker yet again, sometimes helping him out on a particularly
difficult case, or sometimes actually turning to the side
of injustice and masterminding criminal schemes of their
own. What follows is our database of Hooker's partners,
either old friend, enemy, or newly-teamed if Romano was
out of commission.
We
continue our survey of Hooker's partners with three cops
cut from different moulds. One would go on to become Hooker's
conscience in season 5; one was a true love of Romano's
who was destined to die; and the third was an old student
of Hooker's with a problem that can't be solved in a classroom.

Detective
Pete O'Brien, one of the best cops in the L.C.P.D., reunites
with Hooker at the scene of a vicious nurse murder. O'Brien
teaches Romano a lesson in appearances when, despite his
dependance on a wheelchair, he is able to quickly scour
the crime scene and pick up valuable clues which lead to
the nabbing of the perpetrator. O'Brien soon takes on an
advisory role within the Academy precinct, leading investigations
and assisting Hooker on many investigations. |

Perhaps
Vince Romano's one true love, officer Maggie Paine becomes
Hooker's partner after Romano is temporarily blinded in
a vicious attack meant for Hooker. When the news arrives
that Romano is nearly recovered, Hooker and his pals decide
to throw a barbecue party at Stacy's apartment to celebrate.
Hooker loans Stacy and Maggie the use of his personal car
which, unbeknownst to him, has been rigged with a car bomb
meant for him. When Maggie attempts to warm up the car,
she is killed in a massive explosion. |

old student of Hooker's, Sgt. Leigh Stockwell reunites with
Hooker when he joins her at the investigation of a murder-robbery.
Unfortunately, Stockwell has succumbed to cocaine addiction
(a fact which Stacy uncovers during a joint visit to the
ladies' room). In response to Hooker's inquiries, Stockwell
lies to him claiming she has a sugar imbalance. When her
coke habit begins to seriously affect her performance, Hooker
demands she seek help. |
